02 The Model 8540 Photometer is capable of measuring and recording aerosol concentrations in the PM1, PM2.5, PM10, and total PM particle size bands, while the Model 8543 Photometer is similar, but with the added capability of simultaneously measuring and recording aerosol concentrations in all of the above particle size bands. Both instruments are capable of stand-alone operation.
