The function of a dust particle counter is to measure the number and size distribution of dust particles per unit volume in a clean environment. It can be widely used in authoritative institutions such as provincial and municipal drug testing institutes, blood centers, epidemic prevention stations, disease control centers, quality supervision institutes, the electronics industry, pharmaceutical workshops, semiconductors, optical or precision machining, plastics, spray painting, hospitals, environmental protection, inspection institutes and other production enterprises and scientific research departments.
Then when using a dust particle counter, you should pay attention to the following 8 points:
1. The particle counter is mainly used to test the clean environment of the purification workshop. When the measured place has loose particle materials, dust sources, and sprays, it must be kept at least twelve inches away from the inlet pipe. To prevent the above particles and liquids from contaminating the sensor and pipeline.
2. When sampling, avoid sampling the gas discharged from the counter itself or contaminated by the gas discharged from the counter.
3. When connecting an external printer or connecting an external temperature and humidity sensor, turn off the counter first;when performing a printing operation, there must be printing paper on the printer, otherwise the print head will be damaged.
4. Do not sample compressed air without a high-pressure pressure reducing device (such as a high-pressure diffuser). All particle counters are designed to operate at one atmospheric pressure.
5. Water, solutions or other liquids cannot enter the sensor from the inlet pipe.
6. Do not start the counter when the inlet pipe is covered or blocked.
7. The laser dust particle counter should be used in a clean environment to prevent damage to the laser sensor.
8. Do not measure mixed gases that may react. These gases may also explode in the counter.
Secondly, many customers have doubts about the daily maintenance of the dust particle counter when using it. How should the dust particle counter be maintained to extend its service life?
1. Before use, you should first check the appearance of the instrument to see if there are any signs of damage or scratches, and whether the battery is sufficient;
2. Take the instrument to a dust-free workshop (it must be a clean environment area of 100,000, 10,000, or 100 levels), take out the self-cleaning filter (white zeroing filter), and start self-cleaning the instrument. Generally, it takes 10 minutes to self-clean and return the instrument test particle size to zero;
3. Then place the instrument in the corresponding measured position for testing;
4. After using the instrument, it is necessary to perform self-cleaning and zeroing again, the method is as in point 2;
5. Unplug the power cord of the instrument. If the battery can be removed, remove the battery and put it separately (the battery of a small flow handheld instrument is generally not removable, and the battery of a large flow instrument can be removed);
6. Put the instrument back into the special box and store it in a dry, non-humid and sunlight-proof place;
7. Finally, the instrument needs to be calibrated by a third party or the original manufacturer once a year.
