The Electrospray Aerosol Generator Model 3480 (EAG) produces highly concentrated monodisperse aerosols with submicron particles from 2 to 100 nm (150 nm, initial droplet diameter). Passing a charged liquid solution or suspension through the capillary tube produces an electrically charged liquid in the tip region of the capillary tube. An electric field attracts the droplets from the capillary, forming the particles. Air and carbon dioxide mixed with the droplets evaporate the liquid and the remaining particles are neutralized by electrostatic force.
Produces particles from 2 to 100 nanometers in diameter
Particles are identical in size and shape
