TSI Mask Integrity Test System ( MITA ) 8120 with CBRN Mask Protection Assessment Test System or PortaCount® Respirator Fit Tester in tandem to quickly detect CBRN gas mask and commercial respirator leaks to maximize personnel safety.
MITA uses the  PortaCount® Respirator Fit Tester as a particle detector for aerosol leakage testing to assess mask integrity. Under negative pressure and constant flow conditions, the mask is tested on a full head mold with an enhanced pocket seal system that provides a complete seal for most types and sizes of gas masks and full facepiece respirators. The full head mold configuration allows for the use of a mask head strap that can simulate real-life practical applications and provide more accurate measurements.   
When a leak is detected during an assessment, the integrated aerosol probe and generator can be used to locate the leak for quick diagnosis and repair. The operator uses the aerosol probe to indicate the exact location of particle buildup around the mask, and the single-particle counting capability of the PortaCount® respirator fit tester detects and alerts to sudden increases in particle concentration.
