The Model 3068B Aerosol Electrostatic Meter provides accurate detection of current and flow rate. It detects the total net charge of aerosol particles from 0.002 to 5 μm in size.
When the Aerosol Electrostatmeter is used in conjunction with the TSI Electrostatic Classifier, the concentration number of monodisperse aerosols can be measured. This configuration is primarily used for calibrating and testing particle instruments such as condensation particle counters.
Data is shown on the front panel display and output in real time via RS-232 or USB and is also used as an analog voltage for data logging. Vacuum source essential
Provides real-time readings
Improved sensitivity - ±1 fA (better than twice that of Model 3068A)
Wide dynamic range (±12,500 fA) without setting range
Temperature stabilization greatly reduces drift
Automatic flow control (0.3 to 10 L/min) when using an external vacuum source
Reduced internal particle loss
Modem communication using RS-232 and USB interfaces
Membrane touch panel with two-line, LCD alphanumeric display
Digital display of current or concentration and flow rate
Detection of elementary particle concentration when used with TSI electrostatic classifier
Wide particle size range (0.002 to 5.0 μm)
Instrument calibration, e.g. condensation particle counter calibration
Particle concentration measurement
Particle charge and charge ratio experiments
Submicron filter efficiency testing
Particle distribution testing for specific types of submicron particle sizes
