The Model 3068B Aerosol Electrometer provides accurate measurements of current and flow rate. It measures the total net charge of aerosol particles from 0.002 to 5 μm in size.
When the Aerosol Electrometer is used with a TSI Electrostatic Classifier, it measures the concentration of monodisperse aerosols. This configuration is primarily used to calibrate and test particle instruments such as Condensation Particle Counters.
Data is displayed on the front panel display and output in real time via RS-232 or USB, and is also used as a datalogging analog voltage. Vacuum source essential
Provides real-time readings
Increased sensitivity —±1 fA (twice better than 3068A)
No range setting, wide dynamic range (±12,500 fA)
Temperature stability greatly reduces drift
Automatic flow control (0.3 to 10 L/min) when using an external vacuum source
Reduced internal particle losses
Modem communications using RS-232 and USB interfaces
Thin-film touch panel with two-line, LCD alphanumeric display
Digital display of current or concentration and flow rate
Basic particle concentration detection when used with TSI electrostatic classifiers
Wide particle size range (0.002 to 5.0 μm)
