With the announcement of the start of the school year across the country, "children's masks" has recently become a centralized procurement of parents to start the school year of the most sought-after goods. In the major e-commerce platforms, a disposable children's masks range in price from three or four dollars to dozens of dollars. Children's masks how to choose? What kind of masks meet the standards? Is the market supply sufficient? Previously, the relevant national standards for children's masks in the mask did not specify, and recently released "civil health masks" group standard (hereinafter referred to as "group standards") to fill this gap. The standard classifies and regulates children's masks, providing a basis for production supervision. Before the release of the group standard of "Civilian Health Masks", China's mask standards are divided into three categories:Civilian mask standards represented by GB/T32610 "Daily Protective Masks Technical Specification", which is mainly aimed at the air quality pollution environment;protective masks for the industrial sector standards to (GB 2626-2006) "Respiratory Protection Products Self-priming Filtering Anti Particulate Matter Respirator", which mainly applies to industrial workplaces;and medical mask standards for industrial workplace. GB 2626-2006 "Respiratory Protection Products Self-priming Filtering Anti-Particulate Mask", which is mainly applicable to industrial workplaces;the standards in the field of medical care are GB 19083-2010 "Technical Requirements for Medical Protective Masks", YY 0469-2011 "Medical Surgical Masks" and YY/T 0969-2013 "Disposable Medical Masks", which are mainly applicable to the field of medical care. Therefore, China Industrial Textiles Industry Association (CITA) took the lead in drafting and formulating the group standard of "Civil Hygiene Mask", which was officially released on March 11th. The standard is jointly managed by Standardization Technical Committee of China Textile Industry Federation and Standardization Technical Committee of China Technical Textiles Industry Association, guided by experts from medical and personal protection industries and colleges and universities, and jointly drafted by mask production enterprises, filter material production enterprises, testing institutions and colleges and universities. Generally speaking, at the same technical level, the higher the protection performance, the lower the comfort will be. For the protection of children's respiratory system, the ventilation pressure of children's masks is set at a relatively low index value under the current technical level. The technical indexes of this standard refer to the relevant standards, and the current relevant laws, regulations, rules and relevant standards are harmonized, this standard is not applicable to infants and young children aged 36 months and below. Prof. Jin Xiangyu from the School of Textiles at Donghua University, one of the drafters of the group standard for masks, was recently interviewed by China Youth Daily to analyze the standard for children's masks and their production capacity.
