What are the technical applications of dust detectors?
In our daily lives, dust can be found almost everywhere, but its content must be strictly controlled in some occasions, otherwise it will cause bad effects. For example:mining and metallurgy, chemical manufacturing, disease control center, health supervision, safety supervision bureau, environmental monitoring station, online monitoring, emergency detection, scientific research, on-site dust concentration determination, filter material performance test and other aspects of rapid testing, exhaust port dust concentration monitoring, food production workshop, etc.
Commonly used application technologies of dust monitors
1. Light scattering technology
Light scattering technology uses the frequency and duration of flashes reflected by particles in the airflow to measure the particle content. It has an overwhelming advantage over other technologies in that it greatly reduces the error caused by humidity in the airflow to an insignificant level.
2. Opacity technology
Use light transmission (more specifically light absorption) as a means to measure particle density, and measure light absorption with a narrow beam of light passing through the flue gas duct.
3. Tribostatic technology
Use a probe inserted into the flue gas duct, which can measure the change in the charge carried by the particles and thus record their presence. Their accuracy and reliability are affected by the following points:They can only measure dust that collides with or is very close to the probe.
4. Light absorption technology
When light waves pass through linear materials, they interact with the materials. Part of the light waves is absorbed by the medium and converted into heat energy;part of the light waves is scattered by the medium and deviates from the original propagation direction, and the remaining part still passes through the medium in the original propagation direction. The intensity of the light transmitted through the medium conforms to the Lambert-Beer law with the incident light intensity. The light absorption type dust concentration sensor is based on the Lambert-Beer law. By measuring the incident light intensity and the outgoing light intensity, the dust concentration is calculated. This method has the characteristic of accurate measurement under high dust concentration conditions.
