What should be paid attention to when measuring the air volume of the air volume hood?

The air volume hood is mainly composed of three parts, namely the air volume hood body, the base, and the PDA. It is mainly used to collect the air volume in the room. What should we pay attention to when measuring the air volume of the air volume hood:
1. When the size of the hood body (air outlet size) is significantly different from the size of the air outlet of the cap air volume hood, a large measurement error will be caused. Therefore, a hood body with a similar air outlet size needs to be used for measurement. According to the size and area of the air outlet to be measured, the air volume hood body that is close to the area of the air outlet should be selected, and the long side length of the air volume hood body shall not exceed 3 times the long side length of the air outlet;the area of the air outlet shall not be less than 15% of the boundary area of the hood body.
2. Check whether the air volume meter is normal and make the various settings of the air volume meter meet the use requirements.
3. Determine the placement of the hood body to cover the air outlet. The air outlet should be located in the middle of the hood body until the entire air outlet is covered by the hood.
4. Make sure there is no air leakage at the air outlet, observe the display value of the air volume meter, and read the air volume value after the display value stabilizes;
5. Back pressure compensation When the air volume at the air outlet is large, the throttling of the air volume hood and the measuring part will increase the resistance to the air outlet, causing a large drop in air volume. In order to eliminate the small air volume at this part of the air outlet, back pressure compensation is required. When the air volume value is less than 1500 m3/h, back pressure compensation is not required, and the air volume value read is the air volume value of the measured air outlet;when the air volume value is >1500 m3/h, use the back pressure compensation baffle for back pressure compensation, and the air volume meter display value is the measured air volume value after compensation.
