dust particle counter is a special instrument for testing the particle size and distribution of air dust particles. It has developed from a microscope and has gone through the processes of microscope, sedimentation tube, sedimentation instrument, centrifugal sedimentation instrument, particle counter, laser air particle counter, condensation nucleus particle counter, multi-channel multi-functional particle counter, etc. It is currently widely used in provincial and municipal drug testing institutes, blood centers, epidemic prevention stations, disease control centers, quality supervision institutes and other institutions, electronics industry, pharmaceutical workshops, semiconductors, optical or precision machining, plastics, painting, hospitals, environmental protection, inspection institutes and other production enterprises and scientific research departments. It is mainly composed of air path system, optical system, data processing system and other parts. Its working principle is:particles in the air scatter incident light, and the intensity of scattered light is related to the particle size. The air containing dust particles is inhaled from the sampling port of the dust particle counter. When passing through the light sensitive area, the dust particles are scattered by light and scatter light pulse signals that are proportional to the particle size. The signal is received by the photosensitive device and converted into a corresponding electric pulse signal and then amplified. By counting the electric pulses in a detection cycle, the number of dust particles in the sampled air per unit volume, that is, the particle concentration, can be known.
 

 

   It is very important to use the dust particle counter reasonably, and you need to master the following factors:

1. When sampling, avoid sampling the gas contaminated by the gas discharged from the counter itself;

2. When connecting an external printer or an external temperature and humidity sensor, you must turn off the counter first;when performing a printing operation, there must be printing paper on the printer, otherwise the print head will be damaged;

3. When moving, it should be handled with care to avoid vibration and impact. Especially for desktop particle counters, be more careful to avoid damaging the internal components;4. Do not start the dust particle counter when the inlet pipe is covered or blocked;5. It should be used in a clean environment to prevent damage to the laser sensor;6. Aqueous solutions or other liquids cannot enter the sensor from the inlet pipe;7. The particle counter is mainly used to test the clean environment of the purification workshop. When the measured place has loose particle materials, dust sources, and sprays, it must be kept at least twelve inches away from the inlet pipe. To prevent the above particles and liquids from contaminating the sensor and pipeline;

8. It is forbidden to extract gases containing oil, corrosive substances, and do not measure mixed gases that may react (such as hydrogen and oxygen). These gases may also explode in the counter. If you measure these gases, you need to contact the manufacturer to obtain more information before operating;

9. Do not sample compressed air without high-pressure pressure reduction equipment (such as Hongrui Technology High-pressure Gas Diffuser GK-01). All counters are designed to operate under one atmospheric pressure. The working position and sampling port of the instrument should be under the same air pressure and the same temperature and humidity environment to ensure the normal operation of the instrument.
