1. Purpose of TSI9515 Handheld Anemometer
An ideal tool for checking surface wind speed in fume hoods, spray rooms or ventilation systems. It can also be used to measure temperature. The 9515 is easy to operate, compact and portable. II. TSI 9515 Anemometer Installation and Operation
1. Install the battery. Install 4 AA batteries according to the arrows inside the battery box and cover the back cover of the battery box;
2. Stretch the probe. Hold the probe handle with one hand and pull the top of the probe antenna with the other hand with moderate force. When stretching the probe, do not hold the data cable connecting the probe to the host to prevent affecting the stretching of the probe.
3. Retract the probe. Hold the probe handle with one hand and gently push the probe back with the other hand. If you feel difficulty when pushing the probe antenna back, please gently pull the probe data cable until the smallest section of the antenna is retracted, and press the top of the probe to retract the rest of the antenna.
4 Turn on and off the machine, press the power button, the host turns on, and the screen displays;when shutting down, press and hold the power button until the OFF timer in the upper right corner of the screen is completed and the word OFF appears in the middle of the screen, then release it to turn off the host.
5 Select the menu function. When the machine is turned on, press the middle button of the three buttons below the screen to switch between the temperature and wind speed functions. When switching the unit of the corresponding function, press and hold the left button of the three buttons below the screen for a long time under the selected function on the screen until the unit switching interface pops up on the screen, then use the left and right buttons of the three buttons to select the unit. After selecting, press the middle button to complete the switch.
III. Precautions for using anemometer
1. The 9515 anemometer can be powered by alkaline batteries and nickel-metal hydride rechargeable batteries. If nickel-metal hydride batteries are used, the battery life will be shortened. Zinc-carbon batteries are not recommended to prevent the risk of acid leakage.
2. When stretching and retracting the probe, do not hold the probe antenna rod to rotate and retract it to prevent the wires in the rod from twisting and winding and being damaged.
3. When using the probe tip with the sensor, pay attention to protection and do not touch the thermal ceramic at the wind speed measurement point on the probe tip.
4. When measuring wind speed, make sure the probe mouth is fully open and the opening direction faces the wind speed direction.
5. When measuring temperature, make sure that at least 3 inches (7.5 cm) of the probe enters the air flow field so that the effective part of the temperature sensor enters the air flow field.
