The 3090 Engine Exhaust Particle Sizer (EEPS TM ) measures the size distribution of engine exhaust particles from 5.6 to 560nm with the fastest time resolution. Users can visualize and study the dynamic behavior of particulate emissions during transient cycles, the earliest seconds of cold starts, and during regeneration of a particulate separator or diesel particulate filter (DPF).
The EEPS Engine Exhaust PM Spectrometer is capable of displaying a total of 32 channels of measurements (16 channels per particle size factor). The instrument is capable of operating over a wide particle concentration range, including a range as low as 200 particles/cm3. It operates at ambient pressures that prevent evaporation of volatile and semi-volatile particles and requires no consumables.
Ease of use is the core feature of this particle size spectrometer. All components are installed in a 32kg single cabinet including vacuum source. The instrument measures temperature and pressure through a microprocessor and automatically converts them into volume flow. The instrument can be remotely operated and is equipped with an industry-unique software suite.
