The Model 3090 Engine Emissions Particle Size Spectrometer (EEPS TM) is capable of measuring the 5.6 to 560 nm particle size distribution of engine emissions particulates using the fastest time resolution available. Users are able to visualize and study the dynamic behavior of particulate emissions occurring during transient cycles, the earliest seconds of a cold start, and during regeneration of the particulate separator or diesel particulate filter (DPF).
The EEPS Engine Emissions Particle Size Spectrometer is capable of displaying a total of 32 channels of measurements (16 channels per particle size). The instrument is capable of operating over a wide range of particle concentrations, including down to 200 particles/cm 3 . It can operate at ambient pressure to prevent evaporation of volatile and semi-volatile particles and requires no consumables.
Ease of use is a core feature of this particle size spectrometer. All components are housed in a single 32kg cabinet containing the vacuum source. A microprocessor measures temperature and air pressure and automatically converts them into volume flow rates. The instrument can be operated remotely and is supplied with a software suite that is unique in the industry.
