Measure the concentration of ammonia (NH3) in ambient air with the Thermo Scientific? Model 17i Ammonia Analyzer. The Model 17i reacts using chemiluminescent technology to produce characteristic luminescence, with intensity proportional to the amount of NO. The analyzer is highly reliable and provides long-term stability.
17i Type has three modes of operation:NO, NOx and Nt.
Measurements NH3> and NO, NO
Unmatched Sensitivity and Selectivity
Automatic and manual modes
Optional time constant
Additional information:
When operating in NO mode, the sample is mixed with ozone in the reaction chamber. This reaction produces a characteristic fluorescence whose intensity is proportional to the NO concentration.
In NOx mode, the sample passes through a molybdenum converter, which reduces all of the NO2 in the sample to NO. The sample is then transported to the reaction chamber, where it is measured as NOx (NO + NO2). The sample is then transported to the reaction chamber where NOx (NO + NO2) is measured.
In the third mode, the sample passes through a stainless steel reformer, where both NO2 and NH3 are converted to NO. This is followed by a measurement of NOx (NO + NO2 + NH3). Measurements were then taken as Nt (NO + NO2 + NH3).
