The Sievers M9 Portable Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analyzer is the most versatile model in the M9 series, with flexibility for a variety of application points or usage methods. It is lightweight, weighing only 9.4 kg (20.8 lb), and has a compact design. As a powerful troubleshooting tool, it can be installed online for continuous monitoring or taken to any point in the water system for testing.

Both the Sievers M9 Series and the Sievers 500 RL Series have integrated firmware and software to meet the Japanese Pharmacopoeia 16 (JP16), JP<2.59>TOC Detection, and JP<2.51> conductivity testing requirements for purified water (PW) and water for injection (WFI). The calibration and system suitability testing specified in the JP<2.59> TOC standard use different compounds and calculation methods than those specified in the USP and EP.

Sievers M9 and 500 RL Series TOC Analyzers support all other global pharmacopeias, including the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), European Pharmacopeia (EP), Chinese Pharmacopeia (CP), and Indian Pharmacopeia (IP).
